Pre-Design/ Feasibility Study

A Pre-Design Study allows us to identify constraints, opportunities, and realistic cost expectations before any major design or planning work begins. You’ll come away with a clear sense of:

• A home visit to sit down with you and establish your requirements.

• Whether your project is viable.

• What might it cost?

• Whether alternative strategies might serve you better.

• What planning risks or unknowns may lie ahead?

• Critically, based on our extensive experience, we will highlight things that you may not have considered.

We will then produce the findings into a clear pre-design report, which we will share and discuss with you during a Google Meet 1-hour call. We typically work on an hourly basis at £110 per hour, but we’ll provide an estimate of the time required and agree a maximum “not-to-exceed” fee before starting, so you have clarity from the outset.

Depending on the scope and complexity of your project, the cost of the pre-design report typically ranges from £1,870 to £3,200. We're not VAT registered, so no VAT is charged on our fees.

If you do decide to go with us after 12 months for the Full Design & Planning, the cost of the pre-design is taken away from the full project.
